To Paris to remain as Core Team of the World Series
HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series París
Nine tournaments later, the Leones7s are planted in Paris after having made, so far, a very good season in his return to the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.
They have at their fingertips to be able to close the permanence, since they retain a considerable margin with respect to Wales and especially Russia, who are their immediate pursuers in the global classification of the World Series. However, the team can not take anything for granted and will face the tournament with the intention of finishing as high as possible, seeking to repeat the deeds of Hong Kong and Singapore, and forgetting what others do. The men's series will be played on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10.
Interestingly, in the group stage on Saturday, Spain will measure exactly the same rivals as in the Pool Stage of the last series, in London, although not in the same order. They will debut in front of Ireland at 09:22, in a decisive match to try to qualify for the Gold Quarterfinals, since the clubs of the clover gave the surprise last week when they finished third in London. The Lions, already on notice, will seek rematch, thus giving a very important step to choose to be among the top 8. Then, it will be the turn to face Australia, fourth overall, at 11:56. Finally, at 17:42, the match against Wales will take place, a direct rival for the permanence.
Pablo Feijoo goes with everything in the call to try to finish what will undoubtedly have been a great year. From the exciting debut in Dubai, after the incredible moments lived in Vancouver and the Asian series, as well as the potholes crossed on other occasions, to the French capital, where we are sure that ours will conclude the season leaving a stimulating point starting for the next few years, established as Core Team.
